Medical Care

Medical Care is so important to the people of Guatemala. Unfortunately, most of the villagers do not have access or the financial resources to receive medical attention. This causes unnecessary issues with babies, young children and even sometimes adults.

God has provided our team with experienced healthcare personnel, lead by our Mission Partner - MaryBeth Dunn, who are not only qualified for 'field care' but have compassionate hearts for those in need. We offer free medical attention to women and children in a variety of villages throughout Guatemala. Our main focus is in El Astillero, a mountainside village, just outside of Antigua. God has also opened doors for us to help other ministries and other villages up to 3 hours from our home base.

We specialize in basic primary care for women and children that includes:

  • Cuts and scrapes

  • Overall health check-up (temperature/ears/throat/breathing)

  • Aches and pains

  • Medical referrals

  • Physical therapy assistance

Additional Care:

  • Pregnancy Health (Obstetrics from Conception to Birth)

  • Postpartum Care

  • Basic Primary Care for Babies

  • Well Women Exams

  • STD Screenings/Testing

  • Preconception and Post-birth Counseling

Our team has been able to help with everything from severe burns to newborn babies. We have cared for young children with birth defects and helped by providing therapeutics with exercise. One of the greatest needs for children is their overall health. Our goal is to help provide vitamins, medicines and other nutritional drinks to help them maintain a good healthy life. We also help offer counseling and supplies to birth-moms that encourage healthy eating, vitamins, medicines, etc.

Our Medical Team does such a great job, but they can't do it without your help. Many of the vitamins and medical supplies are expensive to purchase here in Guatemala. You can help with this ministry by participating in many ways like hosting a "Care-package Party" at your home or with a church group. Care-packages are a huge benefit to our ministry. This helps supply us with items needed for everyday medical care here in the mission field. Below is a list of specific items that are needed.
