Shelby Weldon is from North Texas where she grew up and attended school. She graduated from Texas A&M Commerce with her Master's Degree in Agricultural Science. Before being called to Guatemala, she taught 5 years in the public school system.

She has been a teacher at Christian Academy of Guatemala for the past 4 years, teaching grades 5th and up. Shelby has also served as a youth leader for a variety of camps and events for multiple ministries in Guatemala. She is currently serving on staff at Access Church as the Youth Pastor.
