New Year Prayer
Lord, May the length of my days not profit me except the days that I spend in Your presence; in Your service for Your glory.
Give me ’grace’ that precedes, follows, guides, sustains, sanctifies and supports my every hour. May I not be apart from You; and may I rely on the Spirit to supply my every thought, speak every word, direct every step and build up every part of my faith.
Give me a desire to show You praise, testify of Your love and advance Your kingdom.
I launch out into the unknown waters of this year with the Father as my safe harbor, the Son has my helm and the Spirit as the wind in my sails.
Guide me to heavenly places with my feet ready, my lamp burning, my ear open to Your call, my heart full of love and my soul free.
Give me Your...
comfort you cheer,
wisdom to teach,
right hand to guide,
counsel to instruct,
law to judge,
presence to stabilize.
May I fear You in awe and my Your triumph be my joy.
Fill me with Your HOPE!
