Reality Check ✔️

One of our first experiences with seeing the different levels of poverty here in Guatemala was the day we visited the garbage dump in the town of Escuintla.

It was unbelievable to learn of the many people who live in the dump. Many use the term “trying to make it” as a generic saying not understanding what it really means.

To the people here, it brings on a whole new meaning.

Living in such a way that what you find is what you live off of; what you make is all you have: what you do is survive.

Our hearts are completely broken for these beautiful people. We know that God loves them, but do they really know that?!

Reading the scriptures about how God will always provide, have we ever had to experience this extreme? It brings so much humility to your life and causes an evaluation of where we are in the bigger picture of the world.

Please pray specifically for the many people living here in these conditions. We pray for them to have enough, we pray for their health but most of all - we pray that they experience the love of Jesus in such a way they find salvation in Him.
